The Academy of Hope Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering personal and professional growth through education and skill-building. They aim to create an empowered future where every adult thrives through the transformative power of education.
AoH Foundation reached out after dealing with an agency that had spent several months building a website that didn't meet the professional standards of the organization. I was asked to redesign the site from scratch, then create and publish it through Wordpress.
Background
Jun 2023 — Jul 2023
I designed a simple wireframe to demonstrate how the homepage might be laid out. I wanted to predominantly express the ethos of the organization using powerful imagery, with straightforward and moving captions to provide details of how their program works.
Filling out the wireframe with assets I was provided and online stock photos, I tested out different color palettes that used the primary maroon and green colors of the organization. I also developed and filled in all of the copy for the homepage.
After some minor edits, I finished the design of the homepage and put together designs for the other pages the website would need.
With the desktop designs complete, I adapted the pages for mobile so that it would be easy to make the site responsive.
Finally, I moved to Wordpress to recreate the designs, add motion graphics, and publish the final site.
